October is National Chiropractic Health Month

GREENVILLE — Greenville Mayor Steve Willman and the American Chiropractic Association have proclaimed October as National Chiropractic Health Month. According to the proclamation, interest in and need for improved access to safe and effective non-drug and non-invasive approaches to pain management has increased. The CDC, in its prescribing guidelines written in 2022, also promotes various pain management approaches and solutions and specifically encourages the use of non-drug therapies as the first line of treatment for acute, subacute, and chronic pain. Doctors of chiropractic, who focus on the whole person with their non-drug, non-invasive treatments for pain management, including spinal manipulation, can play an important role in helping patients reduce their dependence on painkillers.

Dr. Kristene Clark, owner of Johnston Chiropractic Clinic, attended the signing. Dr. Clark, who also has graduate degrees and is certified in chiropractic rehabilitation and chiropractic acupuncture, says good spinal health keeps the whole body functioning efficiently. Spinal health is essential for good health and functioning throughout life. Doctors of chiropractic treat spinal misalignments. Good spinal health and alignment allows the brain to communicate better with the parts of the body, which promotes healing. This ensures our nation a more efficient and productive population. Every individual should be made aware of the benefits of spine care and its effects on our health. Doctors of chiropractic have contributed greatly to improving the health of our community by providing quality health care.

Johnston Chiropractic Clinic is dedicated to providing quality care to citizens. Services offered by Dr. Clark include chiropractic care for the whole family, acupuncture, rehabilitation and nutritional support. In honor of National Chiropractic Health Month, Dr. Clark will be offering all first day services, scheduled by new patients during the month of October, for a $35 fee.
