Montgomery County commissioners will consider a June 28 tax abatement for a new $38 million steel pipe manufacturing facility coming to the Splendora area later this year.
According to county information, Husteel America Inc. purchased 35 acres off Cole Drive in September 2019. The company plans to build a 253,000 square foot manufacturing facility and warehouse.
No information on the potential tax abatement was available.
The company currently has a location in Houston, Greenhouse Road.
According to the company’s website, the plant will focus on casing, tubing and OCTG drill rod. The company also provides line pipe and specialty tubing for refineries and high technology applications for a variety of applications, including oil and gas well drilling, oil and gas extraction.
