Living with longevity
Longevity can mean many things; durability, constancy and firmness.
These are the reasons why Dr. Claire Jeffery called her clinic Longevity Chiropractic. Jeffery works with people to increase their health potential and longevity through chiropractic.
“So often we think our genes and our outcomes are predetermined, but there are so many things we can do to stay healthy, well, and vibrant,” Jeffery said.
“I think about that a lot. What are some small changes we can make on a daily basis that over time will contribute to greater longevity?
Her goal with Longevity Chiropractic is to help people focus on small, achievable steps that, with time and consistency, can bring about meaningful change.
“I try to give people hope, keep them optimistic and help people realize that it’s not just a guessing game. There are absolutely things we can do over time that can be effective and helpful.
She wants to empower people to see that healing is possible and that they don’t have to live in discomfort or pain.
“Too often people think things will get better on their own. Having pain all the time is not normal. It is not fair. Being tired all the time is not normal. It’s not true. But yet, we just accept that this is the state we are in.
According to Jeffery, chiropractic is about optimizing communication between the body and the brain.
“If your brain and body are communicating properly, you may be more likely to live longer… What if chiropractic could help you? »
About Dr. Claire Jeffery
Jeffery has seen with his own eyes that life can send us down paths we never expected. Even with the best of intentions, people will go through stress and upheaval. She said what we do for ourselves can impact our overall health and longevity. Often people think they are sick or tired because of their genetics.
“It’s not always bad luck and bad genes. It can really be about the choices we make on a day-to-day basis, and it’s not going to be perfect. There are still genetic components that we must take into account, but our choices have a significant impact. And living life with a functioning spine and nervous system can be an essential piece of the puzzle.
Before chiropractic, Jeffery started in kinesiology and then went into chiropractic. She also studied physiotherapy. Her approach focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of people’s discomfort and health issues.
“We try to take all of these pieces to tailor a patient-specific approach. Some patients just need to exercise and see me occasionally.
“Other patients can really turn things around with a tailored treatment protocol. I have seen incredible things happen in the 17 years I have practiced. I feel so lucky to be part of this amazing profession.
Jeffery is also involved in the downtown Guelph community. She has partnered with Goodness Me to present monthly health and wellness talks. She also runs a successful weekly walk-in clinic in conjunction with Hope House.
June 7 marked Longevity Chiropractic’s first anniversary. Due to COVID-19 closures and social distancing, Jeffery has postponed its grand opening.
Join Jeffery and his team on June 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., for their official inauguration, inauguration and open house. Come see the clinic and enjoy the food, drink and good company.
“I love what I do. People can be nervous about trying chiropractic. Then when they get into the practice and see what chiropractic is really about, it can be really empowering!”
“I know I’m trying to do what’s best for me because I’m completely driven by the idea of being a grandmother one day. I want my children and their children to see that health can last for generations. I want to inspire them to live their best and healthiest lives.
